A November to remember…

by justin on December 6, 2007

Wow what a month!  November was the best month I’ve ever had revenue wise.  I think my MGR players really pushed me over the edge, and all the small things really added up this month… Bodog was my best earner, Im not gonna rehash everything with them, as it was basically the same thing as last month, except I got a bump to $125 on my CPA (Thanks Grant!)
Biggest surprise for OctoberCarbon Poker

  • Carbon poker has really continued to impress me more and more each month.  I sent them 96 players, 40 of which became RMP.  I am on MGR with them, and made $2704 for the month of November.  I think converting 41% of your players is a solid number, and one of the reasons I really like them over other programs. A few other things I really like are…
    • 40% MGR
    • Great stats backend for affiliates
    • Updated stats in real time
    • Affiliate manager’s who get back to you right away
  • I was very hesitant to add them to my sites, but I really can’t say enough good things about how they’ve done so far for me.  Check out Carbon Poker if you don’t promote them yet.

Biggest dissapointment for OctoberPokerStars

  • I love PokerStars as a poker site, but they need to do something to make their affiliate program better.  Month after month they have very low conversion rates, and their reporting for affiliates is terrible.   I sent them 22 players in  November and got 3 RMP out of it.  Stars could really benefit from having a conversion expert come in and revamp the way they market to new players.  I really just don’t understand it.

Gross income for November

  • Bodog – $5391
  • Carbon – $2794
  • Absolute – $2078.38
  • Full Tilt – $1331
  • BetUS – $538
  • Bookmaker – $470
  • PokerStars – $225

Total = $12,827.38

Expenses

  • Advertising $421
  • Wordze – $35
  • Hosting – $25

Net income for November

  • $12,346

Some thoughts

  • This was a great month for me and I’m seriously pumped about it.  I think it was a bit of an anomaly though with everything just coming together right for that month.  I decided to go for a little more long term revenue strategy from now on.  I switched over my Bodog CPA accounts to MGR accounts, which will definitely put me at a much lower income for December/January, but will even out and provide more gains for the long haul eventually.  If I hit 6k-7k for the next two months I’ll be very happy.  I’ll go into some more of my new projects in my next post. Be sure to check in for it….

Promote poker sites

  • Highest CPA’s and MGR at PAW
  • 40% MGR and great aff. managers at Carbon Poker

Leave some comments about your November.  Id like to hear how everyone did.

November was my best earnings month ever. Glad to hear you did so well, Bodog has always performed well for me. Going to be launching a lot of new projects in the coming months but will definitely stay in touch with you for advice on PAW and to see if there’s anything we can team up on perhaps in the future.

besides articles, what else do you spend your money on for advertising? could you give us an example of how you spent $421 on advertising for the month? thanx!

Wow, almost made your 15K/month goal there! November was the best month so far for me as well, though my expectation is to have an even better December since it has started out real well.

Unfortunately Bodog converts really bad on my site, not sure why… but I will look into it as I hear more good stories.

Peace,

Giorgio

Seems so long ago that you were this innocent newbie in Vegas at a gambling convention.

Now you’re turning into a baller. I love it!

Congrats on the great work! I wish you nothing, but success and can’t wait to read about your future business plans.
