Wake me up when September ends – My monthly revenue post

by justin on October 7, 2007

September’s over and I officially recorded my best month ever revenue wise. I had the most signups ever this month, but a few poker sites just didn’t convert well. However, overall this was the best month I’ve ever had and I’m gonna keep it rolling through October and November.

Top earner for the monthBodog

  • Bodog really did well for me in September. For my CPA sites, I referred 56 players with 25 of them depositing ($2500). For my MGR sites with Bodog, which are mostly sports and casino sites I referred 44 players with 23 of them depositing. I have a decent player base at Bodog now on MGR, so it’s starting to pay off and there is a consistent amount of people playing every month.

Worst converter for the monthFull Tilt

  • I usually do decent with Full Tilt, but this month I took a big dip with them in my CPA referrals. I referred 22 players to Full Tilt and only had 4 of them deposit ($500). I refer a lot of US players, so I belive it had something to do with US deposit options. I couldn’t find any news on Full Tilt eliminating some options or taking less credit cards, so I don’t know the exact reason for this happening. It could also be most of the players didn’t qualify and play enough hands.

Overall income from poker affiliating

  • $3506.75 from Bodog
  • $692.11 from Absolute Poker
  • $927 from Full Tilt Poker
  • $375 from Poker Stars

Overall income from other affiliate sites

  • $25 from dating ebook

(update) Overall expenses for ads and programs

  • $237 for advertising spending
  • $35 for a WordZe subscription (highly recommended for keyword research)
  • $25 for hosting

Gross affiliate income – $5525.86

Net affiliate income for September -  $5228.86

If you are interested in becoming a poker affiliate, I would highly recommend signing up on the Poker Affiliate network. You can promote tons of different poker/casino rooms from one spot and check your stats and income at one central location. It’s very easy to use and they have much better commissions than you would get on your own.

I’m still shooting for my goal of $500 per day by November 18th. Obviously it doesn’t look like I’m going to make it, but I do have 3 new projects that are in the works. Hopefully they’re up and rolling within the next 3-4 weeks and I can get a good idea for how much money they’re gonna pull in. Here’s to keepin the ball rolling!

Did you have any advertising expenses in the September as well?

I assume your using Wordze with PPC(Ad spending)? Hows Wordze working out compared to others, is it really as good as they say?

DK,
I don’t do any PPC yet. Still havent gotten around to it. I use Wordze for my regular SEO on sites. It has a lot of tools that help you for keyword research. Its the best Ive seen so far…

Justin,

Keep up the good work. I would bet 10-1 odds that you will easily be making over 10K per month in the next 12 months. Your determination is inspiring to say the least.

My Fulltilt numbers were down too. I can’t figure it out either.

Great post Justin, open and honest of you to post your numbers like that. We sent more play money players to fulltilt last month than we have in a while, but then (and this month) the conversion numbers are down for FT. Not really sure what is going there.

How do you compare wordze to wordtracker? Have you used both? I’m currently with wordtracker but i’ve heard great things about wordze also.
