Long time no post for me. I’ve been kind of in a rut lately for some reason. I really don’t know why, but I tried to shake things up by heading to NYC to visit my friend for a few days, and I feel like I’ve fallen right back into the same frame of mind. I really need to get crackin on some new projects to keep my head in the game. Here’s what I’m up to now….
MMA blog
- Right now my MMA blog is doing better. Traffic is steadily increasing every day. I’ve grabbed some good links from some of the authority sites in the industry. My content is getting better every time I write, and Im really trying to take a more journalistic approach with delving into the facts from the sportsbooks. I’m hoping to bring some big guys from a Las Vegas sportsbook on for an interview or two soon as well.
- I’m working on adding some applications to the site as well, which will be very useful for bettors.
- I’ve been approached by 3 people already looking to buy the site. I’m not really sure what to do. I absolutely love this site, and love MMA so it would be hard to let go. My biggest fear is that someone is gonna offer me a big load of money that I cant resist. I’m not sure if I would sell right now though as I think this site hasn’t come close to hitting its tipping point. I have some more work to do with it marketing wise, and it will be much much better.
Poker site being built
- Well my poker site is slowly but surely coming along. My partner Jason is developing right now, and Im still working on securing a 3rd partner for us. I have talked to a bunch of people (thanks everyone for emailing me) about the position and have it narrowed down to 1-2 guys that I really think will help. If you’re interested and haven’t sent me an email yet, do that now (Must be able to program and understand poker. The more skills the better)
December
- After my best month ever in November, Im crashing back to reality in December. Shit is just going wrong left and right. I think Im having tracking issues with Bodog for some reason, but can’t pinpoint why that would be. If I net 5k this month, I’ll be happy.
- I’m making a big purchase tomorrow and buying my first suit. I don’t really “need” a suit for work or anything, but I’m 23 and I think its time to have a good suit for the right occasions. I don’t know much about formal menswear so I picked up Dressing the Man by Alan Flusser. Seriously this book is amazing. It’s all about timeless style and how clothes should fit you and how you should make your clothes accentuate your body type. It’s insanely detailed, and I recommend it to anyone who dresses up a lot. You’ll learn a ton. It’s not metro or stupid fashion writings, this is about style that has been around for centuries and still works today. I believe its actually out of print, but the used bin on Amazon has people selling it.
CAP Euro
- Well I think I procrastinated too long to make a decision about CAP Euro, so I’m not going to be attending now. I don’t have a passport yet, and I don’t want to book everything and not have it arrive before the conference. This is why I need to make about 15k consistently, so I can get an assistant and take more trips. I’ve never been across the pond, so Id love to go. Maybe this summer would be better…
Working out
- This week marks my 3rd month of weight training. I started at 154 lbs and Im up to around 167 lbs now. Everyone I run into that hasn’t seen me for a while has commented that I look a lot bigger, so it’s definitely working. I’d like to make it to 180 lbs within the next 15-20 months or so if possible. I know that will take a ton of work eating on my part (not as easy as it sounds) but it would be a huge goal for me to reach. I’m also still training kickboxing/muay thai 3-4 days a week. I’m actually gonna be adding an MMA class as well. I’ve never wrestled or took Jiu-Jitsu in my life, so I have no clue how to fight on the ground, and I’d really like to learn that soon. I’m pissed I never got into martial arts when I was younger, cause I really do enjoy it. I don’t know if there’s a better way to blow off steam than whaling on a heavy bag.
That’s what I have for today. Let me know if you wanna hear some more, or if you have any ideas for a future post.

I read that other people have their issues with Bodog as well. There’s a thread in PAW about it.
If you aren’t going to CAP, and still like to “cross the pond” in the next few months, then I can definitely recommend a trip to the CAC in Amsterdam April 3-5, 2008.
Have a good holiday!
