Every Sunday I write about 3 random thoughts that are on my mind.

Sometimes these thoughts are about business…

Sometimes they’re about life…

And other times they’re truly random.

Well yesterday I did not get to write my “3 thoughts” email since I was finishing up my promos for Stefan’s RMBC course.

So I’m gonna do that today…

Let’s dig in…

1.  Taking real time off work is not a luxury, it’s a necessity

Last week was a much needed slow week for me.

I took Thurs-Sun completely off.

I didn’t write any emails (I wrote them ahead of time)…

I didn’t have any calls…

Hell I didn’t even really check my email except a few times.

My goal was to simply enjoy Thanksgiving with my friends and get away from work.

So that’s what I did.

Everytime I do this, I’m reminded just how much I need time away.

It’s one thing to take time off and still think about work, and to check emails and Slack…

It’s another to fully get away and not think about it at all.

So if you’re feeling burnt out at all…

Or feeling like you need a break…

I suggest unplugging for a few days.

You’ll feel a whole lot better.

And you’ll come back even stronger…

Alright let’s hop into my second thought of the morning…

2. If you’re doing any type of launch, push as hard as you can on the last day

Last week I made 87 sales for Stefan Georgi’s RMBC course for the special Thanksgiving sale he was holding.

Which was great.

But here’s what’s really interesting to me.

Out of the 87 sales, 49 of them came on the last day.

Why?

Because most people will not act until they have to.

I’ve seen this phenomenon with every launch or special sale I’ve ever done.

The majority of the sales all come flooding in on the last day right before the deadline.

Which is why I always push extra hard on that day.

So instead of sending one email like usual, yesterday I sent four emails leading up to the deadline.

And the result?

More than half the sales of the entire promo happened yesterday.

Point being…

Deadlines have a funny way of getting people to take action (I know they always work on me).

So if you’re doing a launch, make sure you push hard when you get close to the deadline.

Cause that’s when all the sales happen.

Alright let’s do one more of these…

3.  There are “seasons” to your work flow, make sure you plan accordingly

One thing I’ve been really tuning into lately is how my work flow increases/decreases based on the time of the year.

For example…

Leading up to our live events, I always have more work on my plate.

Stuff needs prepped for the event…

I need to create presentations…

So there’s a bunch to do.

However…

In between events (like right now) it’s usually a slower time for me.

And I would say this “up and down” nature of work schedules is true for most people.

There are “seasons” to your work…

Some seasons will be busy…

And some will be slower…

And it’s up to you to understand that so you know when you can relax a bit…

Or take time off…

A good example of this is the month of December…

In the direct response world, most offers do terrible in December (unless the offer can be given as a Christmas gift).

Why?

Because people are busy in December…

And their focus is the holidays…

So they don’t care about your workout program, or your financial newsletter.

This of course all changes come January…

Cause January is “new year, new me” for most people.

They want to change their life.

They want to get in shape, make more money, find the love of their life etc…

So it’s very different than December.

Which brings me back to my original point…

Every business has seasons.

Some seasons are slow and more relaxed.

Others are busy and hectic.

This is why its important to figure out what the seasons are like for you…

And start to plan your life around them.

This way you won’t be as stressed…

And you can go with the natural flow of your business.

Make sense?

I hope so…

Cause that’s all I got for ya this morning…

Enjoy your Monday.
