Every Sunday I like to talk about 3 random things on my mind.

Sometimes these are business things…

Sometimes it’s personal stuff…

And other times it’s just completely random.

So with that said…

Let’s hop to the first one…

1.  People want to be entertained above all else

Last night I had a few buddies over and we bought the Mike Tyson/Roy Jones fight.

And one of the cool things they did with the fight was bring Snoop Dogg on as a commentator.

Which turned out to be a brilliant idea.

Snoop was hilarious.

He was dropping one-liners and making everyone laugh throughout the fight.

All of us were remarking how good he was.

Now here’s what’s interesting…

There’s a hundred boxing afficianados who understand boxing better than Snoop.

And I’m sure they could break down the details of the jab or a right hook much better than Snoop.

But that’s not what people want…

People want to be entertained.

And Snoop did an excellent job of that.

That’s a million dollar marketing lesson right there.

2.  Sleep gets more important every year I get older

I had to get up at 6:30 this morning to film something for one of my upcoming projects.

Which is quite early for me.

I usually get up around 8.

So I’m already lagging and it’s barely 10:30.

I’ve noticed this more and more with myself lately.

If I don’t hit my 8-9 hours of sleep, I feel like crap.

There’s no way around it.

I didn’t used to be this way.

I’m sure it’s one of those things that affects you more the older you get.

But I’m keenly aware of it now-a-days.

Sleep is probably the least sexy thing in regards to how you feel.

But it matters more than anything.

3.  I’m gonna reveal all the best copy secrets from the great David Deutsch

My first copy coach, David Deutsch, released his new copywriting course recently (you can see it here)

Which I’ve been nagging him to put out for years…

Why?

Because the guy is copy genius.

He even had 6 controls at once when he was writing for Boardroom.

And when I trained with David back in 2014-2016,  my income went from about $220k a year to $2.2 million in that time.

I wrote some of my greatest promos while working with David (like Patriot Power Greens).

So needless to say, David has had a big influence on me.

Which is why I’m gonna do a series of emails this week talking about all the big “ah ha” moments I had working with David.

This is gonna be a masterclass in copywriting.

So be on the lookout for those emails this week.

And if you want to check out his new course (and get a free gift) you can do that here.

Alright…

That’s all I got for ya today.

Enjoy your Sunday.
