Here’s a few of my “big picture” suggestions to make 2021 a killer year…

1. A lot of people in our industry are good at making money, but they’re not rich.

Why?

Cause they’re terrible at keeping money and growing money.

This is something I can relate to.

Cause when I first started making good money, I also started spending a lot more.

I leased a $50k car…

I spent big money on trips…

A bar tab of $1000 wasn’t out of the question.

But I eventually realized that I was making 6-figures and barely scraping by.

I wasn’t saving anything.

I wasn’t investing anything.

If you can relate to this, I’d suggest making 2021  the year you focus on KEEPING and GROWING your money.

Making the money is only the first step.

The people who get really rich are good at MAKING, KEEPING and GROWING their money.

2.  Cut more, remove more

I’ve been preaching about narrowing your focus a lot over the last 12 months.

In fact, I just took my own advice and cut a big project I had planned to launch in March of 2021.

This is a project I’ve invested nearly $30,000 in.

And it has the potential to be awesome.

But it’s not my #1 priority.

And it was pulling my focus away from my #1 priority.

Not in a big way…

But it was on my mind.

And creating friction.

So I made the decision to cut it.

I know what my focus is for 2021 (getting an offer to work on cold traffic and bring in 50-100 buyers a day)

And anything that detracts from that has to be cut.

Your best results will always come from narrowing your focus.

Focus on 1-2 things at most.

And go all in on those.

3.  Prioritize time away from your business

For the last two weeks I’ve been taking some much needed time off.

During Christmas week I didn’t write my daily emails.

I also did very little work that week.

This past week I kept it low key as well.

I wrote my daily emails…

And did a few things for my launch coming up…

But other than that, I was off-the-grid most days.

I tried not to think about work.

Or discuss it with friends.

This is something I planned on doing a lot of in 2020…

However, COVID threw a wrench in those plans.

And I didn’t take much time off this year.

In fact, when everything was shut down and there was nothing to do, I just pivoted and decided to work MORE than usual.

This wound up helping in some ways (i.e. I had my 3rd best year ever financially)…

But it also wasn’t sustainable.

So my plan for 2021 is to take at least 3 planned vacations.

These will be no-work vacations.

No emails.

Just me enjoying some time off.

Now I know myself well enough to know that if I don’t plan these, they’ll never happen.

So I’m gonna get them on the calendar.

And mark those days off.

Point being, I’m making “time off” a priority this year.

And I think I’ll be much better off because of it.

This is one of those things I keep learning the hard way.

If you just keep trying to “go go go” you’ll burn out..

So I suggest prioritizing some time off for yourself.

So there ya go…

Three of my suggestions for making 2021 a great year…

Feel free to respond to this and let me know what you’re gonna do in 2021 to make it a killer year.

I wanna hear from you…
