Every Sunday I like to write about 3 random things that are on my mind.

Sometimes these things are about business…

Sometimes they’re about life…

And other times they’re just completely random.

So with that said…

Let’s jump into the first thing on my mind this afternoon…

1.  I’m trying to get into Succession, but it’s a struggle

While I’ve been laid up on the couch the last few days fighting this stomach bug, I decided to binge watch Succession.

I know a ton of people who love the show…

And everyone is talking about it…

But I watched 5 episodes and it just hasn’t hooked me yet.

Which is a problem.

I’m not one of those guys who will give it a season or two to get good.

It needs be good right away (this is one of the reasons I never got into Breaking Bad).

And so far Succession is just kind of mediocre for me.

Honestly,  I really wanted to like it.

And considering I love shows like Mad Men and Billions, this should be right up my alley.

But as of now, I can’t see myself putting anymore time into it.

Alright let’s hop to the second thing on my mind today…

2.  It’s not a good investment, if you can’t sleep at night because of it

I was telling some friends the other day that I’m super bullish on crypto in the long term (10 years+).

And I would love to put more money into crypto.

However…

I know my risk tolerance.

And I know that I would not be able to handle it emotionally if I had a big chunk of my net worth in crypto and then it dropped by 60%.

I wouldn’t sleep well…

I’d be constantly checking the prices…

I’d be running scenarios through my head of what would happen if I lost it all.

It just would not be good for me on any level.

So even though I’m super bullish on it…

And I think I could get 10-20x gains over the next decade…

I keep crypto to about 25% of my portfolio.

Why?

Cause that’s what I’m comfortable with.

And this is a super important point with investing.

You can’t just focus on ROI…

Cause that doesn’t factor in the emotional part of it.

You have to be able to emotionally handle the risk.

And you have to be able to sleep at night.

And that level differs for everyone…

So it’s key that you figure out what your risk level is.

And then stick with it.

Alright, let’s do one more of these…

3.  I’m on the fence about getting my COVID booster

I originally got the J&J vaccine back in August…

However my body did not react well to it.

I had long-term fatigue issues that lasted nearly 4 months from the shot.

Basically I was needing 2 naps a day just to get through the day.

Which was brutal…

That has recently gone away…

And I finally have my energy back…

However I’m due for the booster shot soon…

But based on how I reacted to the last shot…

I’m not too eager to get another.

I really don’t want to go through another 4 months of feeling like that.

So as of now, I’m on the fence about it…

Alright I need to wrap this up…

And head out for a walk.

Hope you got a nugget or two from this.

Enjoy your Sunday,
