Every Sunday morning I like to write about 3 random things that are on my mind…

Sometimes these things are about business…

Sometimes they’re about life…

And other times they’re completely random.

So with that said…

Let’s jump into the first thing on my mind this morning…

1.  I’m going to try and work from a tiny, 13-inch Macbook Air

A few days ago I noticed my Macbook Pro was on the fritz…

It was 5 years old…

Some of the keys were popping off…

And it had more documents on it than it’s little heart could handle.

So I decided it was time for a new laptop.

However…

Instead of getting another Macbook Pro, I wound up getting the Air.

Which is a lot slimmer…

And has a smaller screen…

So far I really like the Air…

But it remains to be seen if I can do any actual work on a 13-inch screen.

I’m gonna play around with hooking it up to my monitor and see how I like that…

But overall, this feels like a big change…

I’m used to a 15-inch screen…

So trying to write on a 13-inch screen is strange…

Who knows…

I’ll keep ya updated on how it goes…

Alright let’s jump to the second thing on my mind this morning…

2.  People do not like it when your political views don’t fit in a neat little box

In the last election I voted for…

6 Libertarians…

4 Democrats…

And 4 Republicans…

Which drives a lot of people insane when we talk politics.

Cause I don’t fit in your typical “political box”.

My views are all over the place…

However, there’s a core principle that guides most of my views…

Liberty…

I’m a big believer in people being able to make their own choices (no matter if I agree with those choices or not).

I think it’s the most important thing in life…

Cause once individual choice is taken away, you’re on a slippery slope to being China.

This is why I support people owning guns, and why I also support women being able to get abortions.

It’s why I think vaccines are a good thing, yet I’m not in favor of the government forcing people to get them.

And it’s why I support things like gay marriage, freedom of religion and everything inbetween.

For me, individual choice is everything.

And I think we’d be a lot better off if we just let everyone live their lives (and not get in the way).

Maybe that’s too simplistic in reality…

But I’ll never stop believing that individual freedom is the most important thing in society.

Alright let’s do one more of these…

3.  What would your approach to COVID be if you were 80 years old?

This is an interesting question…

My grandma just turned 86, and she mentioned that she keeps “flip flopping” on how she’s dealing with COVID.

In March of 2020, she was super cautious…

She basically never left her house…

And stopped seeing anyone…

Which seemed like the right move at the time…

We didn’t know much about the virus.

And at 86, she had a decent chance of dying if she got COVID…

So that was probably the right thing to do.

However…

Lately her attitude has changed…

And instead of staying in all the time…

She’s been thinking more along the lines of “I probably only have a few years left if I’m lucky, I might as well live my life like normal”.

Which also makes a lot of sense.

If you’re 86 and you have 2-3 years left, do you really want to spend them locked in your house, never seeing your family?

I wouldn’t.

I’d probably do what she’s doing…

I’d be going out to eat…

And going to my grandkids basketball games…

I’d just enjoy my final years…

And if I wind-up getting COVID and I die, then so be it.

I’d be happier doing that than locking myself in my house.

But who knows…

Maybe if I was actually 86 I’d make a different decision.

Either way I think it’s a really interesting decision for people that age.

And I wouldn’t blame anyone at that age for staying in, or for living their life like normal.

I’m just glad I’m not in their shoes.

Anyways…

I need to head out and get a walk in…

So time to wrap this up.

Hope you had a good Christmas…

And you’re enjoying some down time.

Enjoy your Sunday,

– Justin

We’ve already helped copywriters like Amber Peoples, Tanner Henkel, Mario Castelli, Scott Connorton, Michael Rochin, Scott Mills, Krista Edsall and more to scale to multiple 6-figures a year.

We’ve also helped offer owners like Troy Ericson, Steve Gunn, VShred, Scott Phillips, Conor Boyland and more to scale their offers to hundreds (and even thousands) of sales a day.

If you want to see what all the hooplah is about, I suggest giving this a read and seeing if it’s for you…
