Every Sunday I like to share 3 random thoughts that are on my mind.
Sometimes these thoughts are about business.
Sometimes they’re about life…
And other times, they’re just completely random.
So with that said…
Let’s jump into the first thing on my mind this morning…
1. There’s a very SMALL portion of your list that are the actual buyers
Over the last five years, I’ve sold all kinds of courses, trainings, events and mentorships to my list.
I’ve sold high ticket stuff for $25,000…
I’ve sold low ticket stuff for $19.
Yet despite everything I’ve pitched to my list, 85-90% of the people on my list have never bought anything.
That means the buyer group is small.
And it’s usually the same people that buy over and over again.
Point being, if you understand this idea of the 10%…
Then you can start to really study these people…
And target your future offers to the 10%.
Cause that’s who’s buying.
Alright let’s hop to the next thing on my mind…
2. Once you have marketing skills, you can pretty much do whatever you want
Here’s a random list of things I’ve been considering doing lately…
– Buying a service business (like a plumbing company) that is well run, but who struggles at marketing
– Writing a sales letter for the dog rescue I help with to get them more volunteers (dog walkers, foster coordinators etc)
– Helping other people in the copywriting/funnel space to create their own offer that I would eventually promote to my list (I’d get a % of their offer’s sales in return for my help in creating the offer)
These are all things I could easily do.
Why?
Cause I understand marketing.
And once you understand marketing, you can do whatever you want.
And at that point, it’s less about finding opportunities…
And more about finding the BEST opportunity.
Alright let’s do one more of these…
This last thought might sound like it’s coming out of left field…
But it’s actually quite rational…
3. If you DON’T believe aliens exist, I think you’re probably crazy
I’m always shocked when people think humans are the only intelligent life form in the universe.
To me that’s an insane thought.
Like, do you realize how big the universe is?
The earth is not even as big as a speck of dust in comparison to the universe.
That’s how massive the universe is.
Plus there’s an estimated 70 quintillion planets in the universe.
So the idea that in this enormous sphere that we’re the only intelligent life is insane to me.
There’s obviously other life forms…
Maybe some that are far more advanced than us…
I’m not sure why people deny this.
It could be programming from 70+ years of the government telling people they’re crazy for thinking aliens are real…
Could be religious reasons…
Could be the fear of us being vulnerable if there’s other life forms out there.
I’m not sure what it is…
But I’d be willing to bet a pretty penny that we’re not the only intelligent life form in the universe.
I think it’s statistically impossible…
But who knows.
Anyways…
Those are the 3 things on my mind this morning.
I gotta head out to get my walk in…
