I’m in the mood to write something fun, so here’s 3 things you probably didn’t know about me.

1.   When I turned 21, my buddies and I threw a massive party to celebrate.  We had 14 kegs, 600 jello shots, and a pudding wrestling party.

Being the idiots we were at the time, we decided to have the pudding wrestling in our living room.

Imagine 400+ people in a house, covered in chocolate pudding.

It was an epic night (and also complete chaos).

I randomly came across some of the pictures from that night the other day, so here’s the first official pudding wrestling match of the night.

I’m pretty sure it took us an entire month to get the pudding out of that house.

I look back and laugh at this now…

And then just shake my head and realize what a moron I was at 21.

2.  When I was in highschool, I thought I was going to be a golf pro when I got older (a teaching pro).

I had plans to go to Ferris State which had a golf management major.

To get ready for it, I worked at a golf course during highschool.

When I was at the course, I quickly realized the pros spent most of their day counting inventory, managing the kids who clean the carts, kissing member’s asses…

This wasn’t the glamorous job I thought it was.

So I axed that idea.

Which I’m glad I did.

I always liked golf, but being a pro would have been a terrible idea.

I would have been miserable.

Good move on my part…

Alright let’s jump to the last one…

3. When I was 16 years old, I was in the middle of golf tryouts and my stomach started acting up out of nowhere.

I went from having a normal stomach…

To all of a sudden I had to go to the bathroom 5 or 6 times a day.

I had no idea what was going on.

I was popping Immodium non-stop just to get  through the school day.

After a few weeks of this, I had lost like 10 lbs, so I finally went to the doctor to see what was wrong.

They couldn’t figure anything out.

So I went to some specialists at the Cleveland Clinic.

After a few months of tests (including a colonoscopy) they finally figured out what was wrong.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.

The docs put me on some steroids and a Crohn’s medication, which made a big difference.

I put weight back on.

And my stomach stopped acting up.

I still battle Crohn’s disease today (which is why I’m on the carnivore diet now).

It’s one of those things that goes in waves.

If I’m stressed it acts up.

If not, I don’t really notice it.

But it’s one of those diseases that truly changes your life though.

Normal things like eating dinner with friends, going on hikes, or having a drink can all turn into big issues for me.

At this point I’m quite used to it though.

So it’s not as big of a deal as it was when I was younger.

So there ya go…

3 things about me that you probably didn’t know.

Hope you enjoyed getting a little peek into my life.

Enjoy your Friday.
