9 months ago, Matt Murphy barely knew what copywriting was.
The only thing Matt knew was being a pastor.
His weeks were filled with writing sermons and helping his church.
But after years of this, Matt started to burn out.
He was just going through the motions…
And wasn’t as passionate as he once was.
So eventually he started Googling ways to make money.
And one of the things he landed on was writing.
Through a series of rabbit holes, Matt learned about copywriting and eventually found his way to the Justin & Stefan Talk Copy Facebook group.
That led to him volunteering at our event past September.
What’s funny is at the event Matt said he barely understood anything we were talking about.
He was hearing words like AOV and leads and didn’t know what any of it meant.
But something inside of him told him that if he put in the effort, he could learn this “copywriting thing”.
Well fast forward to today…
And Matt recently had a $10,000 month as a freelance copywriter.
Which is really impressive.
To go from knowing nothing about copy to having a $10k month in just 9 months is insane.
So I sat down with Matt for my Youtube channel this week to have him share his story.
