Note: This is one of my favorite emails ever. It’s all about how to become successful even if you’re not that smart (like me). Enjoy!

One of the biggest misconceptions out there is  that you have to be smart to be rich.

Well, I don’t believe that’s true.

Why?

Cause I’m not that smart.

For example…

When I was in highschool, I took the ACT and got a whopping 21 on it.

That was well below the national average.

Most of my buddies were getting 25’s and 28’s on the test.

One of my friends (Curt) even got a 34.

Which was damn near perfect.

Curt wound up getting scholarships to places like Carnegie Melon, Duke and a few other big name schools.

So he was a lot smarter than me.

And at the time, if you were going to bet on me or Curt being successful down the road, you would have been an idiot to not bet on Curt.

I always thought Curt would end up being some big-wig at Apple…

Or running a successful start-up.

He was ridiculously smart.

But even though he had a leg-up on me with intelligence…

We ended up in very different places.

I don’t know what he’s doing today…

But last I heard from him he was working customer service for Time Warner.

Which was shocking to me…

This guy was one of the smartest people I knew.

He was winning all the National Honors Society awards when we were in school.

Yet here he is in a cubicle making $12 an hour telling people how to reset their internet connection.

It didn’t make sense.

And I still don’t fully get it…

But the reality is that this happens a lot.

Being smart is not a pre-requisite for being successful.

Take me for example…

I was not the brightest kid in school.

I got decent grades (mostly because I was terrifed my mom would beat me if I didnt).

But I was never naturally smart.

I couldn’t tell you a thing about Newton’s law…

Or how to do Algebra…

If you asked me to pick out Spain on a map, I wouldn’t have a clue where it’s at.

When it comes to traditional smarts, I don’t have a lot of it.

Yet, I still wound up pretty successful.

How?

Well as much as I’m deficient when it comes to school smarts…

I’m pretty damn good at direct marketing.

I know how to write copy…

I know how to create offers that scale…

It’s why I was able to take my income from $30k a year to $200k a year to $2.2 million a year.

And I built a 7-figure net worth by the age of 33.

That had nothing to do with school smarts…

And everything to do with me getting good at a few highly-valuable skills.

That’s the key.

All you need is a highly-valuable skill.

For me that was copywriting…

And creating offers…

I got damn good at those.

And it’s paid off.

Now the reason I’m sharing this story with you is simple…

Maybe you’re like me and you’re not the brightest bulb in the drawer…

That’s fine.

Cause that doesn’t really matter in the end.

You can still make 6 or 7 figures…

You can still live a life most people only dream of.

And you can do it all on your terms.

It’s possible.

And you don’t have to be a brainiac to do it.

You just have to have a highly valuable skill.

And if you want help developing that skill…

Whether it’s copywriting…

Or scaling an offer…

I suggest you come learn from me in a few weeks in Tampa (you can also attend virtually).

I’ll be with Stefan Georgi, Alen Sultanic, Kim Krause Schwalm, Marcella Allison, Allen Baler, Keving Rogers, Chris Evans and Jason Capital.

So if you want our help…

And you want to get to the next level…

Then I suggest you check the event out right here

I think it will be a game-changer for you.

Hope to see ya there.
