Great question.
And here’s the truth…
It’s a lot easier than you think to get BIG affiliates to promote your stuff (even if you’re not a big name or well known).
Why?
Because affiliates with email lists are ALWAYS looking for things to promote that will make them money.
Always.
I’ll give ya a good example of this…
Back when I had my 290k person list in the anti-aging niche, I realized pretty quickly that survival offers worked really well to our list.
So I was selling things like water filters…
And survival food…
And my list was eatin’ it up (literally and figuratively)…
So knowing that these offers did well…
I was always on the hunt for more of them.
One of the offers I eventually stumbled across was a “pocket change” offer for one of those mini LED flashlights.
It was about 4 inches long…
And it was the perfect sized flashlight to keep in your car, or your junk drawer.
I knew my list would gobble it up.
So I shot an email to their customer service team…
And they connected me with the owner.
And about 10 days later, him and I had an affiliate deal setup and I promoted his offer to my list.
Now keep in mind, this guy had no idea who I was…
He wasn’t looking for affiliates…
I just came across his offer, and thought it’d be a good fit for my list, so we set a deal up.
And turns out, my list LOVED his flashlight offer.
I don’t remember the exact numbers we did cause this was like 7 years ago, but I know we sent him somewhere around 9,000 buyers on that offer.
Think about that…
This guy added ~9,000 new buyers to his email list in the span of just a few days…
That’s 9000 people he can now sell more survival tools, knives and emergency food to.
And it didn’t cost him anything to get those 9000 people onto his list.
Cause the revenue he brought in from those sales more than covered what he paid us as an affiliate.
So in the end, it was a win for both of us.
We got a great offer to promote to our list, which made us a nice chunk of dough…
And this guy got 9000 new buyers on his list…
So the big thing I want you to takeaway from this is simply…
Getting big affiliates to promote your offer (so they build your list for you) isn’t about the connections you have.
It’s about having an offer that’s…
1. A good fit for their list
2. And an offer that makes the affiliate as much money as other offers they can promote
That’s what matters.
