One of the main “pillars” of my business is something I actually stole from Joe Rogan.
Here’s what I mean by that…
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Joe has a very loyal podcast following.
So when he recommends something, his listeners will try it.
This is how he took the supplement company Onnit from nothing to a household name.
Joe basically started talking about their nootropic, Alpha Brain, on his pod.
And very quickly Onnit sold out of it.
In fact, they sold out of it multiple times in the beginning simply because of the demand from Joe’s show.
But at the time, Onnit was not the Onnit that it is today.
It was nothing.
And Joe put them on the map.
And that “spark” that Joe gave them, helped them grow into a $50 million dollar company (this is a number Ive heard from friends, so it could be off).
But here’s the twist that most people don’t realize.
Joe is actually a part owner of Onnit.
He was able to get a piece of the company because of the influence he has with his podcast.
I’m betting his stake in Onnit prolly makes him a few million bucks a year at this point.
Which is nice.
But that’s the power of having a loyal following.
And that loyal following that Joe has is something I’ve really tried to emulate with my business.
Obviously I don’t have the MASSIVE following that he does.
Far from it.
I think this email list just passed 2000 people for the first time last week.
But I do have a loyal following.
People tune in everyday to read what I have to say.
It’s why my open rates on my emails are upwards of 55-60%.
And it’s why I’ve been able to fill a $35,400 mastermind with 109 members at this point.
People like to read what I have to say.
So they tune in everyday to read my emails.
And with each email I build more of a bond with you.
That’s the same thing Joe does with his podcast.
And it works like crazy.
Which is why I’ve tried to emulate it.
I know I’ll never have the millions of followers that Joe has…
Or his level of fame…
But that’s not what I’m after.
I’m after the loyal following.
Cause that’s what everything flows from.
