I’m a big believer that in a recession, one of the best places to put your money is into building your list.
Why?
Because in a recession, ad prices drop.
Most of the big advertisers (like Nike and Pepsi) pull back on their ad budgets as soon as they sense a shaky economy.
And as a result of this…
There’s less competition for clicks…
So instead of a new lead costing you $5…
It might only cost you $2.
This is the why I’m planning to invest over $100,000 this year into building my list.
I know from past experience that my ROI both in the short term…
And in the long term…
Will be at least a 3x on this investment.
Which is lot better than what I’d get on a real estate deal…
Or socking that money away in an index fund…
So to me, building my list just makes sense.
The way I figure it…
Right now my list is at 9300 people, and with that size list I know I can easily make around $400k in a year selling courses, mentorships and affiliate offers.
But if I’m able to use that $100k and put another 10,000 leads on my list…
I could easily go from making $400k to $800k doing the same amount of work (because my list is much bigger).
So to me, investing my money into list building is a no-brainer.
The good thing is you don’t have to have $100k set aside to build a list.
You can start a lot smaller…
And you can even acquire a massive list for $0 upfront (more on this in a bit).
