One of the smartest things you can do is to setup your business so that it fits with the lifestyle you want.
For example…
There’s a big music festival in Austin this weekend (ACL)…
So me and a few friends are going today.
I’ll probably be there from like 2 until 10 PM.
Which means I won’t be working much today.
I’m writing my email this morning…
And getting a few other things done…
But other than that, this will be an off-day.
Which is nice to have.
But here’s the thing…
Having this kind of freedom in your business (and your life) doesn’t happen by accident.
I’ve purposefully setup my business so that I can do things like this and not miss out on any income.
My main business (Copy Accelerator) only requires a bit of my time each day.
I don’t have set hours…
Or calls booked all-day long…
It’s pretty flexible.
And like I said, this is all by design.
It’s something I give a lot of thought to.
Why?
Because it’s important to me.
You might remember earlier this year I shut down the Justin Goff Marketing Letter partly because it was infringing on my flexibility and upping my stress levels.
That wasn’t an easy decision to make.
Cause the letter was doing around $50k a month in profit.
But it was infringing on my freedom, my flexibility and my stress levels.
So it had to go.
Now you might not be in a spot right now to be able to make decisions like this (AKA you need the money).
However I encourage you to think about it.
And to figure out a way to build your business (or your copy career) so that it fits with your lifestyle.
In the end, you want to make sure you have a business and a life that YOU enjoy.
One that fits your lifestyle…
And allows you to do all the things you want to do.
And that takes a little thought…
So keep that in mind.
