Yesterday was the first day of Ian Stanley’s “Almost Passive Income” event in Boise.
Ian covered a whole bunch of stuff around money including…
– Why principles should govern your money building strategy (and not tactics)
– The 7 levels of making money (most people are in level 1 or level 2 which is getting paid for your time or getting paid per project)
– The 5 main money blocks that hold most people back
He went over all this (and a lot more)…
However for me, there was one thing Ian said that really stood out to me.
“How much money you have is in direct relation to how comfortable you are with money”
I’ve always found this to be true.
Most people are NOT comfortable with money.
They’re scared to talk about it…
They think it’s wrong…
Or even immoral…
But the people who have the most money tend to be pretty comfortable with it.
That’s why money flows to them.
And it’s why they can make big leaps income without a whole lot of resistance.
Being comfortable with money is a very simple idea…
But it’s one that can have a profound effect on your life.
You want to be more “loose” or “casual” about money.
You want to be ok with making it…
You want to be ok with talking about it.
The more “normal” it is to you, the more of it you’ll make.
For me personally, it’s taken me a while to get to this point.
I used to be very uncomfortable with money.
And everytime I made more, I’d sabotage myself and find a way to get rid of the money.
But that doesn’t really happen to me now…
Why?
Cause I’m much more comfortable with money now.
I don’t fear it.
I don’t think it’s evil.
It’s just money.
It’s something I like having.
And something I like talking about.
So the big thing I want you to takeaway from this is to try and be more comfortable with money.
See the good aspects of it…
Don’t be so tight with it.
If you can do that, I bet you’ll start to have a lot more of it.
