Piggybacking on yesterday’s email, I wanna share one more lesson from my crypto launch that just wrapped up.

This lesson is all about selling “off topic” offers to your list.

Heres the deal…

It’s well known among people in the email game that “off topic” offers can sometimes make you even MORE money than an “on topic” offer.

For example…

My buddy Jordan Hall has a list in the women’s relationship niche, and the best performing offer to his list has nothing to do with love or improving your relationship.

Seriously.

He’s tested hundreds of offers…

And the one that performs the best…

Is a biz-opp offer that teaches women how to earn extra income from home.

So his top performing offer has nothing to do with love…

Or finding a man…

It’s about making money.

And I’ve seen this happen with a lot of lists…

Back when Six Pack Shortcuts was big in 2010, one of the best offers they ran to their list had nothing to do with abs…

Or getting ripped…

It was a dating offer.

So it was all about how to get a girlfriend…

And that dating offer consistently did better than supplements…

Or workouts they were selling.

Like I said this happens with a lot of lists…

Sometimes these “off topic” offers do very, very well.

Now in my case with the crypto offer…

This offer was NOT a homerun.

It was basically a “single” in baseball terms.

So I was fine with that…

But here’s the thing I did not expect with the crypto promo…

I did not expect so many people to have such visceral hate for crypto.

It was wild.

I got angry, angry emails from people when I started promoting this.

Like you would have thought I had sex with their mother or something…

It was that triggering for them.

Which surprised me.

I assumed there would be some people upset when I promoted this…

But I definitely underestimated the number of people who passionately dislike crypto.

So that was a miss on my part.

But here’s the thing…

I’m actually ok with the fact that a small segment of my list got upset and unsubscribed.

Why?

Cause if someone is that unhinged because of a crypto training I’m promoting…

I’d rather they unsubscribe…

And go be a pain in someone else’s ass.

I don’t have any interest in having someone like that in my world.

I like to keep things simple…

And easy…

Anyways…

This was a good example of some of the pros and cons of promoting an “off topic” offer to a list.

Off topic offers can be huge hits…

But they can also ruffle some feathers…

So keep that in mind.

Alright…

I’m gonna wrap this baby up.

Hope you got a nugget or two from this.

Enjoy your weekend,

– Justin
