A big thing that I was reminded of in 2021 is that if you do the “basics” really well, you will almost always be on top.
And this goes for nearly every area of life…
Business…
Fitness…
Dating…
Let’s look at some examples…
In the strength training world, there are millions of new, shiny objects that you can get sucked into.
Complicated routines…
New exercises…
Special protein shakes…
All of that stuff is fine and dandy, but the stuff that really delivers results is the basics.
Stuff like squats, deadlifts, presses etc…
It’s not sexy…
Or new…
But it works.
And it delivers the best results.
And guess what?
The same thing is true when it comes to writing copy.
There’s always the latest tactics…
And new ways of marketing…
But what really matters?
Just a couple things…
A killer lead that sucks people in…
An offer that gets them fast results with very little effort on their part…
A big idea that the reader can really get behind…
If you get those three things right…
You can screw up a lot of other stuff, and still come out a winner.
Cause you got the basics right.
And that’s what matters.
Point being…
Everyone always wants the “sexy” thing.
But I can tell you from experience…
The people that build 8 and 9 figure companies…
And the copywriters who make $500k+ a year…
Are really damn good at the basics.
And they get the basics right nearly everytime.
Which is why they’re successful.
And like I said, I know this isn’t sexy…
Or what most people want to hear…
But that is a million-dollar lesson right there.
So do with it what you wish…
