When people finally decide to fix a problem in their life, there’s usually ONE specific event that happens that pushes them to act.

For example…

I mentioned yesterday that I’ve been thinking about buying a Glock.

Well the reason I’ve been thinking about this is because I just found out some creep in my neighborhood has been breaking into women’s houses and sexually assaulting them.

Thankfully the police already caught the guy…

But the story I read online about this perv was downright  terrifying.

He basically snuck into a woman’s house near me, and when she woke up at 4 in the morning, this guy was lying in bed with her!

Luckily for her, she was able to kick the dude and he ran out of the house.

But still, talk about terrifying.

And later when the police searched his house, they found a bag filled with 12 different pair of women’s underwear, and 8 different bras.

Basically this guy was breaking into women’s houses and not only assaulting them,  but taking their panties as “trophies”.

Talk about creepy.

And it was happening in my own neighborhood.

So for me, when I read that story, it reminded me  that I should have a gun.

Which is why “buying a gun” has been on my mind all week.

Now here’s the rub…

A specific event like this triggers almost all buying behavior.

For example…

– A 47 year-old woman who just divorced her husband is now single again.  So she wants to look and feel her best when she dates. This causes her to look into Botox, and she eventually signs up for 4 sessions of it.

– After a bad storm knocks out the power in your neighborhood for 3 days, you think “it’d be nice to have a working fridge if this ever happens again” so a few days later you go to Lowe’s and buy a generator…

– A successful guy who still drives his old “beater car” gets made fun of by his friends, so that weekend he goes to the dealership and starts looking at the new Audi…

– A guy who spends 6 hours a day on phone calls for his job, sees a Youtube video about how the radiation from his phone could mess with his brain, so now he’s on Amazon buying a radiation sleeve

– A 36 year-old woman who visits her parents regularly sees them struggling, living from one Social Security check to the next.  So she gets on Amazon and orders a bunch of books about saving for retirement so the same thing doesn’t happen to her.

This type of stuff happens every single day.

And there’s almost always a specific event, or a specific thing that triggers people to take action.

So for you, the secret is figuring out what that specific event is for your product.

What pushes people off the fence and motivates them to actually buy.

Cause if you can figure that out…

The odds of you making a sale just shot through the roof.

It might take a little bit of thinking…

And **GASP** actually talking to your customers…

But if you do it…

Your copy will start to speak to them in ways that it never has before.

Make sense?

Hope so.

Cause this can make you a lot of dough if you put it to use.

That’s all I got for today.

Heading off on a quick walk with Georgie boy before it rains here.

Take care,

– Justin
