I know you usually write an email each launch talking about the “downsides” of whatever it is you’re promoting.
I’m wondering if there is a downside to building an email list?

Great question…
And yes, as with everything in life, there are downsides.
Nothing is perfect.
For example…
With an email list, the big downside is that most of the effort comes upfront.
So creating your opt-in page…
And getting your first subscriber…
That can be scary if you’ve never done it before.
And it does take effort on your part (gasp!)
So most people avoid it…
But here’s the thing…
If you can get through the beginning parts of building an email list…
Things get a lot easier from there.
Why?
Cause once you have 100 people on your list…
Or 300 people on your list…
It gets easier to grow that to 2000 people…
Or to 5000 people…
Why?
Cause you already have the foundation.
And once you have the foundation…
All you gotta do is “do more” of the things that put new people on your list.
This is exactly what I experienced building my current email list.
I had to hustle to get the first 150 subscribers on my list…
People didn’t just sign-up.
I had to make it happen.
But once I got those first 150 subscribers…
It wasn’t long before I had 400 subscribers…
And then 1000…
So in my opinion…
Getting over the hump at the beginning is the hardest part.
