I’ve had a hell of a week…

On Wednesday I started to notice a pounding pressure inside my head.

The pressure was so bad I felt woozy…

Like my head was going to explode.

Which was terrifying…

I had no idea what was wrong with me…

I took a COVID test to make sure it wasn’t that (all clear)…

Then yesterday I woke up determined to get some work done…

But as soon as I started typing, the pressure in my head had me feeling weak.

I couldn’t focus…

I had no energy…

All I could do was lie down on my couch and do nothing.

I had no idea what was going on.

I had never felt like this.

At one point I considered going to the hospital it was so bad…

However, around 8 PM last night…

Something interesting happened.

I noticed that the ungodly pressure inside my head had vanished…

All of a sudden I was thinking clearly…

And I finally had some energy…

I had no idea what was going on…

Then it dawned on me…

About 20 minutes before this I had used my nose spray for my allergies.

Well guess what?

Turns out I wasn’t dying…

And my head wasn’t about to explode…

My allergies were just running wild from everything blooming in Austin!

I literally thought something was wrong with my brain…

But turns out…

It was just horrible allergies.

Which I’ve always had…

But they hit me particularly hard this week…

Anyways…

You probably don’t care about my allergies…

But there’s a good reason I wanted to share this story with you…

And it’s because, at the beginning of the week I had plans of being super productive and getting a bunch of stuff done.

I was going to send multiple emails to my list…

I was going to do follow-up emails…

I was gonna work on a new training for April…

I had big plans.

But none of it got done.

Why?

Cause I felt like crap all week.

And here’s the thing…

If this had happened to me ten years ago…

I would have been beating myself up…

And feeling guilty for not getting anything done.

But now-a-days…

I feel like I have a better outlook on stuff like this.

I understand that shit happens…

And you can’t play a perfect game every week…

Some weeks will be great…

And others will be crap.

That’s just kinda how life is.

And I think that’s a good lesson to learn.

If you’re having a bad day…

Or a bad week…

Just understand it’s totally normal.

Lebron James has ’em…

So does Serena Williams…

You can’t always be “on”.

That’s not possible.

So when you do have a bad day…

Or a bad week…

Don’t beat yourself up…

And don’t get down on yourself…

Just understand that it’s normal. 

And you’ll be back to your regular self soon.

That’s a lesson that took me a while to learn…

So I hope you take it to heart…
