why 2023 is the best time to build your email list

If there’s one undeniable law in list building, it’s that the cost to put someone on your email list will ALWAYS go up over time…

Case in point…

When I built my first fitness list in 2010, I was getting clicks on Facebook for 10-15 cents a click.

Think about that…

It was costing me around $15 to get 100 clicks…

And with 100 clicks, I usually made at least one sale of the $39 ebook I was selling. 

So for every $15 I spent, I made $39.

So not only was I making a profit…

But I was putting between 30-80 new buyers on my email list each day.

So life was good.

However…

At the time I was too dumb to realize that this wouldn’t last forever.

I thought the gravy train would keep going…

But eventually the cost of Facebook ads shot up…

And my conversions dropped…

And at some point, I could no longer afford to put new people on my email list.

Which sucked for me…

But it’s a good lesson for you.

Cause here’s the truth…

The cost to put someone on your email list will ALWAYS go up over time. 

Building a list in 2010 was cheaper than it was in 2013…

And building a list in 2017 was cheaper than it is today in 2023…

And this will continue to happen. 

So in three years you’ll realize that building a list in 2023 was a lot cheaper than it is in 2026…

This is why I believe that the best time to build your email list is NOW.

Cause the cost to put someone on your list will only continue to go up.

It’s done that for 20+ years…

So whether you already have your own list…

Or you want to build one for the first time…

The best time to put people on your list is NOW.

Not next year…

Or three years from now…

But NOW.
