Why I spent $3953 to go to a football game today

I’m slightly excited this morning…

Why?

Well, I’m back in Columbus (where I used to live) for the Ohio State/Penn State game today.

It’s a BIG game.

Ohio State is ranked #2…

And Penn State is ranked #9

And if Ohio State wins, they have a pretty good shot at making it to the college football playoff.

So I’m amped…

What’s funny is that this trip almost didn’t happen.

About a month ago, I told my buddies in Columbus, that I wanted to fly back for this game.

We texted back and forth about going.

And all my buddies WANTED to go…

However…

Most of them make a lot less money than I do.

So shelling out a few hundred bucks for a football game is a big deal.

So after a few days of thinking about it…

I decided to just buy us all tickets for the game.

That way we could all go.

And have a blast.

I think I plunked down close to 4 grand on the tickets.

Which is a lot of money.

However…the experience of hanging with my friends, tailgating all day, and going to the game, will be something I remember for a long time.

And that’s something I’m glad to pay for.

I realized a few years ago that one of my drives to make a bunch of money is because I like being able to do stuff like this.

I took my dad to a few Cavs games when they were in the NBA finals against the Warriors.

And last year I took him to see Bruce Springsteen on Broadway.

My dad loved every minute of those experiences.

And I was happy to make that happen.

Same thing with the game today.

Point being…

Find the stuff that matters to you and dont feel  guilty about spending money on it.

It’s your money.

And your life.

So spend it how YOU wish.

That’s all I got for today.

I’m heading out to tailgate for a few hours…

And then the game starts at noon.
