A scary trend I’ve witnessed over the last 18 months is that many “middle class” copywriters are getting the boot and being shown the door.

Why?

Because there’s a bunch of hungry, up-and-coming copywriters taking their jobs.

For example…

I know one guy who’s been writing copy for 12 years that is your typical “journeyman” kind of copywriter.

Meaning that his copy has always been decent…

He can get clients…

And he makes $50k-$60k a year…

But there’s nothing special about what he does.

He doesn’t have any big winners under his belt…

He’s not beating controls…

But if you need a reliable all-around writer that can knock-out emails and sales pages, he can do that for you.

And as a result of this…

He’s been able to make a nice, middle-class living for over a decade.

However…

And I’m just gonna say this bluntly…

His days are numbered.

Why?

Because there’s a huge influx of good, up-and-coming writers who will charge the same as him…

Yet they’ll be beating controls…

Writing winning emails…

And pumping out ads that run for months on end.

So who do you think the business owner would rather work with?

The journeyman that’s just “meh”…

Or the up-and-comer that’s writing winners left and right?

Obviously the up-and-comer.

Cause he’s gonna make ’em a lot more money.

And help the business grow.

So if you’re in a similar spot as the journeyman I just described…

What should you do?

I suggest you get serious about sharpening your copy skills.

Cause that’s what the up-and-comers are doing. 

They’re learning the ins-and-outs of email…

They know how to beat a control…

They know how to write Youtube and Facebook ads that convert…

And they’re just going to get better and better.

So if you stay in your comfort zone…

You’re gonna get passed up.

And those routine $4k, $5k or $6k months are eventually gonna go to someone who can deliver better results than you. 

So I suggest you don’t sit by and let it happen.

I suggest you upgrade your copy skills so you can compete.

Now, you can do this a number of ways…

And there’s an endless amount of courses and training programs out there.

But my first suggestion would be to get into the 8-week copywriting mentorship Stefan Georgi and I put together.
