One of the biggest mistakes marketers make is trying to appeal to TOO many people.

For example…

Yesterday, I was helping a friend of mine get clear on what her niche is.

She creates a lot of content on travel.

So that encompasses vlogs of the trips she’s taking…

Saving money on travel…

Living abroad…

That’s a lot of different topics.

And right now I think her niche is too wide.

I told her we need to narrow it down…

And focus on something more specific.

So a couple ideas she could do…

– How to make money while living abroad

– Travel tips for women

– Traveling on the cheap

– Long term travel (a month or more)

All of these are viable niches…

And they would give her a “lane” to be in.

Just being in the general travel niche is too competitive.

And it would be impossible for her to stand out.

But if she can niche down…

And start making content on very specific topics, it will give her a much better chance to grow.

Cause that content is very targeted.

And it will connect with specific people.

Point being…

Most marketers go too wide with their niches.

If you want a devoted following…

And people that will continuously buy from you…

You want to niche down.

Get specific about who you’re helping.

And focus on that.

Make sense?

I hope so.

Cause that’s all I got for today.

Enjoy your Saturday,

– Justin
