One of the best marketing lessons I’ve learned is that many times when someone says “no” to your offer, there’s a good chance they might have said “yes” if it was in a different format.

For example…

The best example of this right now is OnlyFans.

If you’re not familiar with OnlyFans, it’s basically a subscription site for porn.

So a girl who has a million followers on Instagram, starts an OnlyFans, and charges $10 a month to be a “fan” of hers.

And for $10 a month you get to see all the naked pics and videos she posts on OnlyFans.

Now here’s what’s interesting about OnlyFans…

The large majority of women who have an OnlyFans probably NEVER considered being an actual porn star.

They wouldn’t want videos of them plastered all over the internet.

They wouldn’t want the stigma of being a pornstar…

However…

With a slightly different format…

Where all of their videos stay private (only paying subscribers can see them)…

And where they have control over what content gets posted…

A lot more women are saying “yes” to this.

I personally know at least 4-5 women that now have an OnlyFans (one of which is making like $50k a month, so she’s killing it).

OnlyFans took something that was already working (porn subscriptions) and just changed the format to make it more appealing to women.

And OnlyFans isn’t the only company doing this.

It happens in every industry.  .

If you look at online dating, the old school sites like Match.com and EHarmony really appealed to people over the age of 40 who wanted to find a relationship.

If you were a 22 year old guy, it wasn’t cool to be on Match.com.

But then Tinder came along and changed all that.

Tinder made dating apps cool.

And now every 22 year old is on some type of dating app.

So again, it wasn’t that younger people didn’t want to date and hook-up…

It’s just that they didn’t want it in the format that was being offered.

Once the format was changed, millions said “yes”.

And that’s a huge marketing lesson.

Just because someone says “no” to your offer doesn’t mean they’re not interested in the benefits of what you’re offering.

They could simply be saying “no” to your format.

And if you offered it in a different way…

That might turn into a “yes”.

That’s an important lesson.

And one that can make you a lot of dough.

So keep it in mind.

That’s all I got for ya today.

Enjoy your Wednesday.
