You ever have one of those days where you struggle to write no matter what you do?

Well, yesterday that happened to me.

I got to my computer around 9 AM, and started writing an email to my list…

About 100 words into the email, I decided I didn’t like it.

It wasn’t flowing great.

And it just seemed generic.

So I scrapped the whole thing.

I stood there for another 20 minutes trying to think of a better idea to write about…

But nothing was coming to me.

So instead of plowing through it…

I decided to just get away from my computer, and come back to it later.

So I left my house for a few hours…

I went and sat in the sauna with some friends…

I even did a few cold plunges…

I figured this would help clear my head, and get me in a good writing mood.

But that wasn’t the case.

Cause when I got back to my computer, the same thing happened.

I wasn’t feeling inspired to write…

I felt like I was writing just for the sake of writing (and not cause I actually had something good to share with you).

So after beating myself up for a little bit…

I finally just pulled the plug and said “I’m not writing an email today”.

Honestly, I did not feel great about that.

But at that point, I had to admit that I simply didn’t have “it”.

That’s the truth.

And if I’m being honest…

I probably have 5-10 days like this a year…

Where my writing is just off…

It happens (even when you’re a top level copywriter).

Anyways…

I wanted to share that story with you to let you know that if you ever struggle with your writing, you’re not alone.

It still happens to me…

So if you have an off day…

Don’t beat yourself up too bad.

Just accept that it happens to everyone.

And understand you’re not doing anything wrong if you have an off day.

It’s just part of the game.

So keep that in mind.
