I’m a big believer that no matter how successful you get, many of the beliefs you had about money and success when you were a kid will still be with you…

For example…

One of the podcasts I listen to every week is a tech podcast called “The All-In Pod”.

And one of the guys on that pod (David Friedberg) is a super successful entrepreneur who’s probably worth $200 million or more.

So the guy is loaded…

And he obviously can buy pretty much anything he wants…

However…

He mentioned a few weeks ago that he was planning to take his kids to Disney World…

And he was worried about having to wait in a bunch of long lines…

So the other guys on the pod told him to just upgrade to the VIP pass for like $10,000 and he’d be able to skip all the lines.

His response?

“I know, I know… but it’s so expensive”

Think about that…

This guy is worth over $200 million…

And he’s afraid to spend $10,000 on a VIP pass at Disney.

Which is hilarious to me.

$10,000 might be a lot of money for you and I…

But for him, $10k is the equivalent of like $2 for a normal person…

So it’s nothing…

Yet, he’s still hesitant to spend the money.

Why?

Cause despite the fact that he’s loaded now…

He still has a bunch of his old beliefs about money and wasteful spending rolling around in his head.

I can tell you from experience that this is normal.

Hell, just yesterday I was on a plane in first class, and when I saw the couple next to me the first thought I had was “they must be rich assholes”.

Think about that.

Even though I’m a multi-millionaire…

And even though I’m sitting next to them in first class…

My old beliefs from when I was a kid that only “rich assholes” flew first class was still with me.

Anyways…

There’s a good lesson in here.

And that’s the fact that the beliefs that are ingrained into you in your childhood are most likely still with you.

They still affect how you think…

And what you do…

So it’s good to be aware of that…

Make sense?

I hope so.

Cause that’s all I got for ya this morning.

Enjoy your Friday…
